Our local staff & volunteers serve throughout the year, providing healthcare and health education in Ho.
We serve Orphans, Elderly and poor in the city, the Mekong Delta and the Hill tribes of Vietnam. In addition, our volunteer Teams from the USA visit annually to work together with our Vietnamese team to change lives here, and for eternity.
Founders Tom and Carol Miles, both nurses, lived in Ho Chi Minh City 1996-97. In 1998 they began teaching and leading teams to improve healthcare in Vietnam. In 2007 support began for orphans at Gospel House and Dr. Hang for medical outreach. Nursing conferences are held, equipment purchased for hospitals and wells have been provided for hill tribes.
In 2018, we joined the ministry of ALWM. Under Director Pastor Bill Moberly, the work of Vital Links will continue to grow as we expand ministry in the region.
VLH, a ministry of ALWM, is a non-profit Christian ministry. We recognize the need for health education and improving healthcare in Vietnam, especially for the elderly, the poor and some of the estimated 1.5 million orphans in Vietnam. Our mission is to faithfully respond to these needs in Jesus' name, and to use these opportunities to share our Christian faith.
